CHRISTINE, AD ASSISTANT
My name is Christine and I work as an art director assistant. Before I started working here, I studied advertising, marketing, art and graphic design in Gothenburg. I like to get together with friends during my spare time. We usually invite each other to dinner, go second-hand shopping, or visit our favourite clubs/pubs!
My work: I work as an art director assistant, which involves designing labels, bags, packages and items for our window displays. It's an interesting job and I get to work with new projects and departments every day.
"My responsibilities vary and I get to work with many different projects."
JESSICA, DESIGN TECHNICIAN
I'm a happy, creative, handy 43-year-old who loves clothes, shoes, accessories, decorating, art and music.
My work: I work as a design technician, which involves transforming design sketches into patterns and instructions that are distributed to our suppliers throughout the world. I'm the one who is responsible for how a garment fits. I measure samples and I'm in charge of the fittings on our models. After that, I review all the information with my team. It is both fun and inspiring to get to work with something I'm passionate about. The job also involves interaction with fantastic colleagues, a strong sense of team spirit and plenty of laughter every single day.
Inspired by: Everything from nature to the glossy magazines and our work environment.
"It's a fun, inspiring job that involves plenty of laughter every single day."
NICKLAS, CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
I'm a happy person who savours every minute of life. I'm 36 years old, but feel like I'm 25. I get plenty of exercise and I love cooking and being out with my dog.
My work: I work as a construction project manager, which involves quite a lot of travel throughout our various markets. Each day is different, which is exciting and stimulating. The company has tons of energy and you get to work with lots of great people.
Inspired by: I'm always feeling inspired because I travel a lot for work. I absorb the details from everything that I see: I get ideas from new, exciting shops and restaurants that I can then use at home or work.
"Every day is different."
My name is Hanna Marzouki Widlund and I work as a stylist at Gina Tricot. I'm 21 years old and I live in Borås, which is where our head office is located. Fashion is not only my job, it's also my passion.
My work: If you ask me, I've got the best job in the world and as a stylist, each day is quite different from the next. One day, I might be involved in collecting garments that can be used to create outfits for upcoming shoots. Another day might involve trend seeking, creating inspiration boards or looking for accessories and shoes for the next styling. It's an awesome job with a fast pace and new things happening all the time. Working with something you are passionate about is like a dream come true!
Inspired by: I'm inspired by street style. I travel quite a lot and my eyes are always searching for well dressed guys and girls on the street. I'm not usually inspired by an overall look, but when something specific stands out, I will use it for styling jobs or my own outfits. I can also be greatly inspired by different types of environments, fashion assignments, lookbooks and blogs!
"Working with something you are passionate about is like a dream come true!"
My name is Charlotte and I'm a buyer for our hard accessories department. I buy bags, belts, sunglasses, shoes and other items. I like efficiency and a fast pace, which is why I enjoy working at Gina Tricot so much. During my spare time, I love going out to eat with friends, preferably to an Italian restaurant, and I spend weekends in my hometown, Copenhagen.
My work: On a typical day, I start by reviewing the previous day's sales. Then I go through the products, keep track of prices and lead times, and plan the budget for the season. I also talk to our suppliers every day, which is an important way of maintaining good relationships with them. Each day, it's full speed ahead and I'm entrusted to make decisions with a great deal of freedom. I appreciate the personal atmosphere and the fact that we have so much fun together while working!
Inspired by: Everything! Of course, I get inspired while on business trips, but that can also happen when I'm at a concert or simply taking a walk.
"I appreciate the personal atmosphere here."
LINA, STORE MANAGER
My name is Lina and I've been working as a store manager in Gothenburg since 2007. I've always been very interested in fashion and shopping, yet my great passion in life is horses!
My work: My job as a store manager involves a variety of tasks, such as responsibility for operations, staff and performance. It's a fast pace, with new challenges every day and our success very much depends on great teamwork. There are unlimited career opportunities within the company – the only one who puts any limits on how for you can go is yourself. I've enjoyed being a part of Gina Tricot's fantastic journey and I enjoy my job very much.
Inspired by: What inspires me the most is seeing my colleagues learn and develop in the right direction. Skilled, competent leaders also inspire me and they are what makes the job feel exciting and motivating.
