I think that you should be a person who enjoys a challenge, a fast pace and juggling many things at once. If you work in purchasing, it’s important that you enjoy problem-solving as things happen all the time. You need to be responsive and down-to-earth, to let the best idea win, even if it’s not yours.

In general, my role is to build up the collection, to push for profitability in my product group and to be updated on sales. It’s also important to keep an eye on the competition and market trends, and to find suppliers. I lead a team with an assistant, controller and pattern designer, as well as a designer and design assistant. My job involves a lot of travel, for inspiration and to our production sites.

I love fashion, so I think it’s the world’s best job.

Textiles training is a good basis. I studied Textile management and Business Administration at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås. Usually, you are employed as a purchasing assistant and then progress to become a purchaser.

Working at Gina Tricot is fun and challenging. The pace is fast and the decision paths are short. My colleagues are wonderful too!

The great thing is that all of us at the company are different and contribute a range of experience and skills. Curiosity, commitment and energy are beneficial, as well as the ability to cooperate, flexibility and stress tolerance.

My five colleagues and I distribute all the products to our stores as late as just a few days before they are out in the store. We consider the store’s sales, storage and area, the product and, not least, our own gut feeling, so as to optimise sales in each store. We work closely with the purchaser, assistant and purchasing controller, the distributor and all our stores.

I like the combination of fashion and sales. After just a few days of sales I can see the results of my distribution and thus fill the stores with the greatest potential sales. It’s a unique opportunity to influence results and is exciting and challenging.

Shop experience is an advantage, as is some form of business training. English language skills are also beneficial as we are anticipating expansion into Europe.

We are on the go the whole time, so it's a question of making quick decisions in all situations and being flexible. We are a company that truly believes in our concept, and are constantly evolving. The fact that one day at Gina Tricot is never the same as the next is something I find very positive, because I love the variety.

It's really a question of being both positive and flexible, and being able to keep many balls in the air at the same time. You obviously need to have a feeling for and understanding of fashion and trends. It's also important not to be afraid of change. To be considered a problem solver at Gina Tricot is a very positive attribute.

I do everything possible. Placing orders, overseeing trials, planning our collection and pricing our products. I literally follow our garments from concept to purchase. I also have daily contact with our suppliers. The variation in my work is what makes the job so much fun for me.

The best part of my job is that there is so much going on all the time and the fact that I am involved with so many different areas. My job also gives me the chance to be involved at every step of the process following a garment from concept to finished product. Having a lot of responsibility and the fact that people trust me also drives me.

You need some form of training in textiles. I myself studied at Proteko here in Borås and chose this route, since an apprenticeship is a big part of the training. It was during my apprenticeship that I realised I wanted to work in the fashion industry. After graduation, I therefore applied for a job at Gina Tricot and have now been a purchasing assistant for almost 18 months.

No one day is like another at Gina Tricot, so it’s an exciting workplace. We always try to improve what we do and there are always new challenges to tackle.

To work at Gina Tricot, you should be an efficient person who can keep many balls in the air at the same time. It’s important that you have belief in your own instincts and that you enjoy working in a team.

Being design assistant means that I make sure everything in my group goes smoothly, as I assist the main designer and product designer. It’s a job that varies from day to day, depending on what stage of the design process we are at. My tasks include helping to select colours and detailing for different garments, making garment sketches and building collection boards. I also work on finding inspiration from a range of media, putting together presentation material, assisting at sample testing and much more.

Primarily that I can work with fashion, about which I’m passionate, but also that I can keep on developing myself.

Some type of design training as a basis; I studied at the London College of Fashion. Previous experience of the fashion industry is an advantage. Loving fashion is essential.

I think that working at Gina Tricot is great fun; it’s very educational and helps you develop. I enjoy it when things happen at a fast pace.

There are many types of people at Gina Tricot, so I don’t know if you have to be a particular type of person. However, it’s important that you find working in team easy and that you have the ability to make quick decisions and believe in what you do.

As pattern cutter in the jeans department I am responsible for ensuring the fit for all our jeans garments is as good as possible. I’m also the one who grades the garments into different sizes and makes sure that suppliers follow our instructions so that everything is right. I’m also in charge of translating new descriptions of different garments for the website.

The fashion that we work with, meaning the new styles, colours, fits and silhouettes. By which I mean that it’s never monotonous.

Some type of textile training that includes patterns is a good basis. It’s good to have previous experience, but not compulsory. You should have a positive attitude; the right attitude can take you a long way.

Gina Tricot is a company that encourages its staff to develop. If you show enthusiasm and want to achieve things, it’s noticed. They listen to the staff at all levels and it’s a great school for learning!

You should enjoy busy, varied days and be prepared to work hard. Naturally, it’s important to have an interest in both clothes and sales.

My work as RVM means that I have overall responsibility for how the stores’ visuals function. I recruit and train staff and am responsible for building up new stores. My job involves working closely with the regional and national managers. Together, we draw up action plans for how to develop our stores and staff in a positive manner.

I have been given the opportunity to progress at the company and have been there for the different countries we have opened up, which has given a great deal of professional development. My job is interesting and varied every day.

You need to have worked as a visual merchandiser for several years. Leadership qualities and creativity are important in order to be able to train, coach and inspire your employees. You have to be able to make quick decisions, cope with a high pace, and be efficient and responsible.

I think working at Gina Tricot is great. It’s a very professional company that retains the charm of a small family business.

You must enjoy working hard, quickly and effectively, and you have to be willing to learn new things. It’s important that you don’t take yourself too seriously, that you can laugh at your mistakes.

I work for the store’s profitability and ensure we make money. It is important that the staff in the stores have the experience and knowledge necessary to perform and present the products in the best way. Customers must always visit an inspiring and well-stocked store where it’s easy to find what they want.

Stimulating and encouraging my colleagues. My job involves many different tasks so I am always learning new things.

You must be prepared to work hard, find it easy to learn, be business-minded and have the ambition to develop quickly through your work. You must also be open, honest and uncomplicated as a person. I have retail-based training and was first employed as a store manager when I was 21.

An ordinary day at Gina Tricot is very eventful! The pace is high and our team spirit is important for all of us to be able to do our best. There is great potential to have influence and for individual development.

You should enjoy working in a team and always want to make changes and work for the company’s best. It’s important to be energetic and to dare to take decisions.

As purchasing controller I’m part of the purchasing team. I’m responsible for daily analysis, information and action based on sales in my product group. I analyse sales potential and short and long term risk assessment to be able to brake or accelerate actions. Budget and strategy work is also part of my job.

Having an influence on one of the fastest growing Nordic fashion companies is an amazing challenge! I am at the heart of where fashion is created and it is interesting to see how the products are received by customers through sales statistics. My colleagues are also great.

You should have a qualification in business administration. It’s important to take initiatives and act quickly as this is a dynamic workplace. It is important to be curious, analytical, flexible and result-oriented.

Gina Tricot is like a great big family. We have lots of different jobs, but we are all equally important in making the company work as well as possible.

We want cheerful, targeted people who like challenges, you should particularly like the word “new”! New items every week, new trends, new customers every day, continual new challenges and situations to manage.

My main job is to find the best way of achieving satisfied customers and good sales. I encourage, coach and motivate my colleagues, whilst making sure I follow and develop the concept and the directives that come from the company.

There’s always something new happening, so there’s no such word as boring. I love the daily contact with our customers in combination with working so closely with my colleagues and managers. I think it’s cool and unique to be able to feel like one of the gang, despite us having become such a big company!

The right attitude! Nothing is impossible, as long as you believe in yourself and others. I started with work experience in a store in eighth grade, and then I knew what I wanted to do. You can be part of this family with commitment, enthusiasm and the desire to succeed!

You must have quick feet and quick wits. You have to be able to take decisions and work efficiently. Gina Tricot lives and breathes fashion, so it’s also important that the employees love the fashion world. Naturally, a positive attitude to life is always important, even here.

As regional manager I help the stores and store managers to achieve the best possible results. I motivate them in their work so that they are able to offer the best possible customer service and our wonderful products to the customers. My work is very varied, in addition to staff management my most important task is the stores’ results.

I enjoy working fast and love fashion. So what could be better than working with fantastic colleagues on the top of a fashion wave where things are always happening?

I have a degree in business administration and many years of experience in fashion retailing. It’s important to be positive, have good social competence and to feel humility about your work and love the industry we work in.

You learn something new every day! New things happen all the time. If you want to grow, you really have the opportunity to do that at Gina Tricot, but like in all jobs you have to fight for it and make it clear what you want. We work with fashion and clothes around us all the time and something new comes in every day, which makes it even more fun to come to work.

As new deliveries come in every day and lots of different things happen, it’s important to be flexible and adapt to every situation. It’s important to be open and have a positive attitude to both the job and the customers. You also have to be resilient under stress, as things can move quickly and there can be many customers in the shop at the same time.

To work in a boutique means to be interested in fashion. I work with fashion all the time and spend a lot of time checking out the latest trends, and it’s an environment where customers often come to me with questions about all that. It’s also important to have a good relationship with your colleagues so that everything runs smoothly. But it also goes without saying that you have to be sales oriented and want to help your customers all the time. You have to be knowledgeable about everything that goes on in the shop, so that you can take charge of all parts of it.

The three absolutely best things about my job are that I am allowed to take on a lot of personal responsibility, that I am close to the world of fashion all the time, and of course my colleagues.

Real enthusiasm for fashion! I feel that a positive attitude and broad social competence are key characteristics.

I am a regional manager and am responsible for a region with eight stores. My work involves preparing budgets for each store and helping the stores reach their targets by offering advice and staff training. The most important aspect of my work is the on-going development of the store managers so that they become even better at their job. I report to the Country Manager.

The best thing about my job is that I get to work with friendly colleagues. We work with an exciting concept where new things are happening all the time. My working days are varied and exciting when I go out to the different stores.

You need to be a positive person, sociable and good at motivating others. I have 12 years' experience in the textile industry and have worked as a co-ordinator and as a store manager.
