When synthetic garments are washed, tiny plastic fibres are released and flow into lakes, rivers and oceans, where they break down into microplastics and harm the environment and wildlife. The Guppyfriend washing bag is designed to reduce this impact by protecting your garments so that fewer microfibres are shed, while also capturing the fibres that are still released. After washing, the fibres collect in the corners of the bag and can easily be removed by hand and disposed of in the bin instead of ending up in our waterways. Simply place your synthetic garments in the bag and wash as usual with liquid detergent, but avoid tumble drying the bag. The laundry bag is white.
